About

Jemma Fordham

Jemma is a self confessed geek who turned her passion for knowledge of how the human body works into a career when she qualified as a massage therapist in July 2011. Since then she has worked with a cross section of the community, with her speciality being treating people with acute and chronic pain conditions. She is fascinated by the way the body recovers from pain and disfunction.

After qualifying in both Swedish and Sports Massage she decided to take her training to a much higher level by embarking on a three year BTEC Level 6 Professional Diploma in Advanced Clinical Massage and Sports Massage (distinction) with Jing Advanced Massage Training, which at degree level is the highest level of training available in the UK and the same level of education received by physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths.

Jemma works with her clients to help facilitate their bodies own healing, utilising her knowledge of modern pain science and the parasympathetic nervous system to educate her clients to help themselves using manual and movement therapy.

Jemma is currently the head teacher at Jing, where she teaches massage therapists Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage.
